The Thanksgiving Service cum Foundation Day of the CIHSR was held on the 24th November, 2011 at the new OPD reception area. It was well attended by well wishers from outside, the CIHSR local support group members, the Diphupar youth and also the CIHSR staff.

The evening’s function opened with a prayer by Dr. Viu Meru. The Director’s message was read out by Dr. Atsung Aier as the Director was away in Vellore. Dr. Sedevi Angami also presented the Medical Superintendent’s report. Their messages provided an insight into the past, the present and the future of CIHSR.

Dr. Geroge Varghese was the main speaker- he gave a very interesting presentation complete with amazing photos of his work in Manali, Spiti Valley and Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh.

The CIHSR choir led by Dr. Lima also presented a special song. The function ended with a delicious dinner prepared by Mrs. Atsibu and her team.
