CIHSR’s first retreat on the 20th & 21st March, 2010 was a blend of learning sessions, group discussions, a time of worship & inspiration, a time away from the normal everyday life & above all the idyllic place “Youth Oasis Center” was an ideal platform for the staffs/participants to unwind, re-focus our lives & draw near to God in ways our monotonous life usually does not allow.
Dr Kuruvilla Varkey,MD Medicine (Oddanchatram) & Chairman of CMC, Vellore Association ,accompanied by his wife Dr Susan Varkey,was the key speaker for the Two-day Retreat on the theme ‘Invitation to Intimacy with God’ based on Romans 8:14. He stressed the point that our intimacy with God takes us to such height that we become the children of God. This comes about when we allow our lives to be led & controlled by the Spirit of God which essentially means that three fundamentals takes place in our lives: affirmation & confirmation of our faith resulting in transformation of our lives into his likeness.CIHSR’s Retreat
