Integrated Urban Health Clinic opened at Miqlat Ministry, Walford, Diampur PDF Print E-mail

The Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research, Dimapur in collaboration with the NGO’s working in various sectors of health in Dimapur inaugurated an Integrated Urban Health Clinic at the Miqlat Ministry premises on the 25th March 2010.The clinic will serve as a center for referral for the clients of the NGO’s, their families & neighbors besides serving the general public in the area.

Dr Kuruvilla Varkey, the current Chairman of CMC, Vellore Association, opened it. In his remark he said that this kind of integrated effort by all stakeholders in the field of health care is the best way forward.Ms Narola, the NBCC secretary for Women Ministry reported that this is an answer to prayer of the NBCC to provide comprehensive health care to the community through Miqlat.

She also gave praises to God for His faithfulness in the care & development of the Miqlat ministry of the NBCC at Dimapur from a very small beginning, five years ago.Dr Abraham Joseph, Associate Director, CIHSR, explained the purpose of setting up the Integrated Health Clinic to meet the total health care needs of the community as well as help achieved by each of the participating NGO’s who are contracted to achieve a given target of a specific disease such as TB, HIV/AIDS or STI. It will be an integration of services, technical knowledge, finance as well as skilled personnel from all the organizations involved.

Earlier Miss Asha Sanchu, Director of Miqlat Ministry welcomed the gathering & Rev Wati Longkumer, Director of NMM read the scripture & offered a prayer. Dr Varghese Philip, Director of CIHSR, chaired the function.Dr Viu Meru of CIHSR proposed a vote of thanks. It was attended by all the participating NGO’s & a few church leaders.
