A workshop on ‘Communication Skills Development’ was organized for the staff Nurses in the CIHSR, Conference Hall on the 1st & 2nd September 2010.The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the communication skills of the nurses who generally deal with a lot of patients of different temperament.

The resource persons were Miss Nukshijungla who gave an introduction to Communication & Miss Cecilia who spoke on the topic ‘Therapeutic Communication’ & thirdly Miss Arhoni who spoke on the topic ‘Communication with special groups of people’. Participants were involved in Role play & group discussions.

The workshop did have a refreshing change with the presence of Mr Manesh Mathew, HR Consultant who gave an interesting introductory speech to informal communication.

The feedback given by the participants did show that the workshop was indeed an interesting & educative one & look forward to such experiences in future.
