An Entry Permit is necessary for Nagaland. Domestic tourists require an Inner Line Permit. Overseas visitors no longer require a Restricted Area Permit prior to entering Nagaland. However, they are required to register at the office of the Superintendent of Police within 24hrs of arrival in Nagaland (Kindly contact our Administrative office for assistance with registration)

Permits are issued by the following authorities:
  • Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi
  • FRRO, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai
  • Commissioner, Home Affairs, Govt. of Nagaland, Kohima
  • All Indian Missions abroad

Kohima, the State’s capital city has many places to visit. For example - World War II Memorial, State Museum, the Catholic Cathedral (second largest in N.E. India), the Hornbill festival (first week of December) in Kisama village, trekking & camping in Dzükou Valley to name some few.Warm clothes is a must before setting out on a journey to Kohima.
